Kota Kinabalu, Sabah formerly known as Jesselton, also locally famously call Api Api which name came from the fiery flower in Red Orange colour of it's local trees is the capital of the state of Sabah. Sabah immediate neighbor are Brunei & Indonesia, is reachable easily via flight of 2 hours from Kuala Lumpur crossing the South China Sea. 

The city is strategically located along the northwest coast of Borneo facing the vast & beautifully fronting South China Sea. The Tunku Abdul Rahman National Park lies on its west and the South East Asia highest mountain - Mount Kinabalu, which gave the city its name, is located towards the east. Kota Kinabalu has a population of 452,058 and, including the adjacent Penampang and Putatan district, the metro area has an estimated population of 628,725.

Kota Kinabalu is also known as KK within Malaysia and internationally. It is a major fishing destination and a popular gateway for travellers visiting Sabah and Borneo. Kinabalu National Park is located about 90 kilometres from the city and there are many tourist attractions in and around the city. Manukan Island is one of the 3 Island in Tunku Abdul Rahman National Park located just 20 Mins speedboat Ride from Kota Kinabalu Harbour Front. Depend on where you stay, if you stay in Sutera Harbour or Tanjung Aru Beach, One can hop-on to speedboat from each places, if you stay in KK City, proceed to Harbour Front Jetty.

MANUKAN ISLAND - BUFFET ARE SERVED BY SUTERA HARBOUR THIS IS THE AREA FOR BBQ LUNCH / HARD LIQUOR ARE NOT ADVISABLE BUT BEER AT RM 10 PER CAN IS AVAILABLE ON THE ISLAND
